I’m Kayley, an Alberta wedding & family photographer who’s dedicated to capturing the intentional, the silly, and the joy-filled moments so you can remember them as they deserve to be.
Hey there, I'm Kayley
But I mean it. Every time I'm asked by folks, what I do, that's my answer and it's true. I've been a big people person ever since I could talk and I've loved taking photos of all the memories since I could figure out a camera with my grubby little kid hands. Now I get to meet and work with the most awesome people on the regular and capture memories for more than just myself. I adore nostalgia and I think I find my inspiration by pursuing that - whether it's photos for my clients or the photos I take of my own family. This is what's propelled my love for shooting film as well because nothing feels more sacred than a film moment captured.
As for the "Kayley" outside of work, I'm a wife to my wonderful husband, Alex, a mum to my sweet boy, Alder, and dog parent to our silly little golden retriever, Doug. I love crafts and have been taking my off season time to work more on sewing projects, or try my hand at lino cut/print making and knitting! I also love to cook or bake, especially for good company and you can find us among friends/family 3-4 nights out of the week. We live a short drive to the mountains and love to enjoy our free time snowboarding and hiking and camping. The Southern Canadian Rockies will always be my favourite place on earth.
Since Alberta, specifically Southern Alberta, has been my home my whole life, it is forever special to me that my work gets to take me all across our beautiful province, and sometimes even beyond. If you're looking for some inspo to try something new, here are some of my fav spots & things to do!

Is travel additional for weddings in Banff and other locations in Alberta?
I am based in Lethbridge, AB so all my travel is based from there. For Calgary weddings, travel is built into my packages, but for anywhere else I charge CRA mileage (currently $0.72/km) + accommodations as necessary or I ask that you put me up on site if we are further away from a bookable area.
If I'm ever in an area already, I'm happy to offer travel discounts!

considering Calgary for your wedding?
Whether Calgary is home to you or you're travelling from out of town to the gateway of the Rockies, it won't disappoint. There's such a unique array of wedding venues with different styles you can find to match your wedding vision perfectly. My biggest encouragement for you is to consider what you dream your wedding day being like. Calgary can have pretty drastic weather changes from Summer to Winter so making sure you plan your wedding at the time of year that get's you most excited can be a big factor!
Potentially the second best part of hosting your wedding in Calgary is that you can either jet set away for a destination honeymoon easily or load up the car and head to the Rockies which can be enjoyed as adventurously or luxuriously as you'd like!

Looking to book family photos?
Ever since becoming a mom myself, my view on all my work has shifted immensely. I get the deep desire to want all of life's big AND little moments capture of your favourite little human(s). And I also, completely understand that sometimes one parent ends up being the photo taker a lot more than the other which results in fun moments captured but missing part of the crew in them.
This is why I can't stress enough how invaluable investing in family photos is. I've made two options to cater to families in all different seasons of life and I'd love to plan more with you to plan a family shoot that can fit your family perfectly. I'm not here to take stuffy, posed, yell-at-the-kids-in-between photos. Our time together is meant to be relaxed and easy-going. I'm not necessarily trying to create a space, but come exist within yours for a little while. Thats where we get the real photos, that's where you're all most comfortable, that's our sweet spot. I don't even know where to begin. Kayley's photography absolutely captured me when I first came across it. I hadn't found any photographers that fit the bill for our wedding and we were going to go without. When I saw her work I had to reach out, we were only a couple months from a long weekend wedding in the summer and someone was smiling down on us because she was available and wanted to capture our day.
We just received our photo gallery and I am speechless. The moments she captured that I had no idea even happened are priceless. The photos are timeless and I will be reliving our wedding day for eternity with these amazing shots.
